The 2018 awards banquet for the 2017 NHRA Central Region season was a night I will never forget. It was a dream come true to walk on stage and receive my first Wally for a nearly perfect Championship year in Top Alcohol Dragster, a moment I have dreamt of my entire life. In addition, I was awarded the Pro-Sportsman Driver of the Year for the second year in a row, a true testament to the efforts that our team puts in every single weekend.

The night became even more unreal as my cousin also received his first Wally for winning the Top Sportsman points championship, along with the Sportsman Driver of the Year award. My uncle Joe Meyer, who first introduced my dad to drag racing in the 70s, won the Sportsman Tuner of the Year award, and the entire Randy Meyer Racing Team won the Pro-Sportsman Crew of the Year award.
